The 10 hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry is intended to provide entry level construction workers with information about worker, and employer, rights and responsibilities. The course also covers how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job related hazards on a construction site. The training covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction site. This program emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. In accordance with the Outreach Training Program Construction Industry Procedures dated April 2011, the course is presented in a minimum of two days and the daily classroom time is limited to a maximum of 7.5 hours.
