30-HOUR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY BASIC SAFETY PRINCIPLES

The 30 Hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry teaches construction workers about worker, and employer, rights and responsibilities. The course also covers how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards. The 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. The training emphasizes

Hazard  identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. This course is normally presented in five days. In accordance with the Outreach Training Program Construction Industry Procedures dated April 2011, the daily classroom time is limited to 7.5 hours.
